Myself and three of my girlfriends visited London for the weekend and loved staying at Peckham Lodge. We had more than enough room and enjoyed staying in such a clean room.

We had some trouble with grabbing the bus because while the bus-stop was right outside the lodge, we were unaware of how to acquire an oyster card to ride the bus into the city centre. We had to walk around an area we were not familiar with as a result of the reception giving poor directions on where to buy a card.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will deifinitley stay again when my husband has to go into hospital at Kings. The parking is good and although a very reasonable price the hotel was not shabby and we only had a couple of niggles but nothing that could not be fixed. Would recommend this hotel to others. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean as was the room.

Being in London there was obviously more noise than we are used to but it did not keep us awake at night so not too much of a problem.

We arrived early afternoon and were given a quad room for three of us, my wife, son and myself. Room 209 immediately off reception was clean, welcoming and recently upgraded. We had a lovely stay at the hotel, there is a large Wetherspoons five minutes stroll away, plenty of eateries also within a two-three minutes walk. We had heard the horror stories about the area, the murders of Damilola Taylor and the riots of 2011, but overall we felt okay walking the street from Peckham Rail Station to the Lodge, passing groups of youths who posed no threat and were asked to move out of the way, when blocking the pavement, simply apologised and moved. I wouldn't advise anyone anywhere to withdraw sums of money from the ATMs, but Peckham felt no more threatening than my hometown. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this gem of a hotel in the future, we will be back in London next September for the NFL at Wembley Stadium. Incidentally, buses run 24/7 stop very close to the Lodge and cost £2.40 to Trafalgar Sq./ Oxford Street and takes 30-40 mins depending on traffic. Tube at Elephant and Castle is 15 mins away by bus, Wembley being another 30 mins onwards @ £8 for a day ticket. Great place to stay, fantastic multi-lingual staff.

The shower is fiddly, but if that's all I've got to moan about, I'll shut up !

it was a perfect stay!! safe and quiet..polite and friendly workers..daily cleaners..and very easy to transport anywhere in central london by just one bus without changing..oxford circus paddington south kensigton etc.by just one bus:)so thanx 4everything again and again it was one of my great london trips for 15nights..
